Lava Hot Springs & the Tetons

Well Brad and I had a very enjoyable weekend. On Friday we left after work and drove to Lava Springs, ID where we stop and took a dip in the hot pools. The pools were very hot from 102 to 112 degrees and the water was from natural underground springs. It was very relaxing and hot. We couldn't stay in the water long but hung out at the edge of the pool going in periodically.

We camped at a very quite campground right in Lava Springs and woke up in the morning to finish the drive to the Tetons.
Once we were in Jackson, WY we set up camp and went kayaking in Jackson Lake. The weather was perfect not to hot and not to cold. We kayaked for about 2 hours around the lake enjoying the scenery.

After kayaking we drove around the park stopping to look at the very impressive mountain range. This was my favorite park of the trip-I love mountains and the Tetons.

We then went back to our campsite to have a fire and cook dinner.
On Sunday we were in no hurry so we made breakfast and just relaxed at the campgrounds for a little while. We then decided to go to Jackson Hole Ski Resort to mountain bike. Since this is our second timing biking Jackson we knew what to expect and knew exactly what trail we were going to ride. After we had a great ride we then went into Jackson and walked around the town.

It was a very pleasent and relaxing trip (much better then Tahoe was). This is probably our last camping trip of the season which makes us sad, but there is always next year.
