After we spent 20 min at the 4 corners we then drove into New Mexico to see the Shiprock Peak.
Then we drove back into Utah to Hovenweep National Monument National Park, were we stayed the night. In the morning we walked around the Park looking at the remaining buildings of the nomadic Paleoindian, which are over 10,000 years old. Brad and I were impress on how much of the remianing buildings were still standing. It was also hard to believe the they had rock houses. They took a big rock hollowed it out and lived inside of it. How cool.
From Hovenweep National Monuement we decided to go to Natural Bridges National Monument. Here they have 3 national bridges that you can look at and hike to. Brad and I hiked to Sipapu Bridge which is the 2nd largest natural bridge in the world. The hike was really cool because we had to climb down (and up) wooden ladders at two different points. It was really cool. Boy! the bridge was huge when standing right under it and looking up. We then just went to the look out point of the second bridge, and we took a short walk down to the third bridge. We really couldn't spend a lot of time in the park since we need to get back to Salt Lake. It was a really nice weekend.
